New for 2026, The Land of Enchantment 5k Training group is a resource for runners of all different levels and abilities looking to train for the 5k distance in the Santa Fe and Albuquerque New Mexico area. It is a collaborative distance running project with our excellent partner The Running Hub; Santa Fe's premier running specialty store since 2001. The group caters to absolute beginning runners hoping to cover the 5k distance for the very first time, all the way to veteran runners looking to run a personal best after many years of racing.

The group runs from March 15th - May 7th and meets twice weekly; Monday evenings at 6:30 pm and Saturday mornings at 8:00 am. Mondays feature a speed workout, while Saturdays feature a tempo workout. Practices are run in separate pace groups based on speed and ability, including a group for absolute beginning runners.

The program also includes many other perks, including a comprehensive 7-week day-by-day training plan, weekly informational emails, a Land of Enchantment 5k Training Group T-Shirt, in-store discounts to The Running Hub, vendor demos with product wear-tests, access to injury screening, and more!

The group targets area 5k road races in early May. The cost of the program is $100, with a $5 early-bird discount for signups by January 31st!
